On November, 1st the All-Russia state television and broadcasting company (ВГТРК) starts in a test mode the informative channel «My planet», devoted to a science, history and travel. About it to the Internet edition «the Elephant. Ру» the assistant to general director ВГТРК Dmitry Mednikov has told.Ру» рассказал заместитель гендиректора ВГТРК Дмитрий Медников.

According to Mednikova, investments into the new project have made about ten millions dollars. It is expected that the potential audience of the channel by the end of 2010 will reach about 15 million persons.

The TV man has told that in plans ВГТРК to create in the nearest some years about ten similar channels which announcement will be carried out by cable and satellite operators. In 2010 the company intends to start two-three projects. It is expected that all of them will have scientifically-informative subjects.
